How to stop Googleupdate.exe running

All of:

1) Kill the process “googleupdate.exe”
2) run “msconfig” and uncheck “GoogleUpdate” from the “StartUp” tab
3) SystemTools->Scheduled Tasks uncheck the “Enabled” box under the “Task” tab of “GoogleUpdateTaskUser”

    Thanks so much i got that dam thing after wanting to use google earth i was also forced to take Chrome even though i selected no thank you.

    managed to get rid of chrome easaly enough but this was a bit harder but now its gone so thank you :)
