The Big Overseas Trip (1992-1994)
In 1992 I set off to see the world with a one way ticket in one hand and a surfboard in the other. It was very exciting at first so I sent lots of letters home about my adventures; though they dwindle out over time. Everyone at home thought they were very entertaining. I now cringe at some of the things I said, but nonetheless here they are all their brash and unedited glory.

Mee, John, In New Zealand (2002)
I went to the South Island for a couple of weeks.
Jamabelle - James (and Isabelle) Roy
Isabelle Meunier became an extremely close friend whilst I was in Canada. She married James soon after and they had a curious marriage because they spent most of it separated by vast distances; coming together to travel exotic places. James broadcast irregular newsletters of increasing quality, insight, and entertainment value from a diverse set of locations on the globe.
I keep this archive in tribute to my friends, as it documents an unusual journey, and because some of them are just darn good reads.
